The jury on Siegrid Demyttenaere

In addition to her work as a graphic designer for Waterproof, her own agency for visual communication in various creative sectors, the jury appreciates Siegrid Demyttenaere for her role as a driving force, connector, and ambassador in design. As a curator of exhibitions and festivals, and as the artistic catalyst of DAMN° magazine, she helped grow the (inter)national design industry. It is commendable that, even after 20 years, a critical, high-quality magazine manages to stay fresh and current and build an impressive reputation and network. With her affinity for social trends, her perseverance and sensitive, open gaze, Siegrid Demyttenaere shows how designers can build an alternative, meaningful business.
