Walden BOX

Walden FAST is an innovative ecosystem that combines sustainable logistics with digital intelligence, through a portal where customers can track and manage their entire flow of goods. The Walden BOX is key: a reusable, smart transport box with tracking, temperature monitoring (important when transporting special medication), PIN code security and real-time connectivity, designed for at least 1,000 rotations. This not only enables a drastic reduction in cardboard and waste, but also increases the control of quality and safety in the chain. Through the platform, users can access insights that go further than operational efficiency, including an ESG dashboard and integrated KPIs that make the impact of sustainability and performance tangible.

What does this award mean to you?

This recognition obviously serves as appreciation for the whole team, but most of all it is a token of appreciation for our client, Walden, and their ambition to make the transport sector more sustainable. This innovation allows us to solve a waste problem while creating added value for all parties involved. We believe this is the basis for sustainable behavioural change.

How did the idea for this project come about?

The initiative came from our client Walden, driven by their desire to make the logistics sector structurally sustainable. Based on in-depth research into user needs and available technologies, we worked together to develop the most optimal and feasible solution.

What makes your project so special?

This project is in the ‘Sweet Spot’ of Innovation because all the success factors are present: it is technically feasible, it fits seamlessly with the wishes and needs of all stakeholders, and it delivers significant economic and environmental gains.

How does it contribute to a better world?

Walden BOX is a reusable and smart transport box that drastically reduces cardboard and waste.  Walden FAST reflects Walden’s ambition to make the logistics sector structurally more sustainable while making it more transparent and smarter. The first application of the system focuses on pharmaceutical logistics.
